About Me...

My name is April and I am a professional photographer based in Goodells, Michigan. As a child I was always taking pictures. I remember one of my first camera's was a little film Crayola camera that I took with me everywhere. Fast-forward to my senior year of high school when I signed up for a digital photography class that my school was offering for the first time. The teacher in the class pushed and encouraged me to think outside the box, to express myself, and to see the world in a whole new way. I think it was in that class that obsession and love with photography began.

It was because of that teacher and his amazing class that I was inspired to go for my Bachelor's degree of fine arts with a concentration in photography and start a photography business. Since then, my business has grown and flourished because of my amazing clients and my supportive friends and family. My favorite things to photograph are seniors graduating high school and agriculture, but I like photographing weddings and families as well. I love working with my clients and learning about who they are and what makes them unique. My favorite part about photography is being able to show them just how special they are in spite of the flaws they may see.

I am a natural light photographer and love being outside. I put my heart into each session and work hard to give my clients a product they will be happy with. I work with my clients to help them open up and be comfortable in front of the camera and try to fill every session with lots of laughter and natural smiles.

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”
